Bushnell man publishes book about McDonough County’s Congressional Medal of Honor recipients

Four McDonough County men received the Congressional Medal of Honor, the highest military award, for their heroic actions during the Civil War, and a Bushnell man has written a book, “Through A Chaplain’s Eyes: The 55th Illinois and Congressional Medal of Honor Recipients from McDonough County During the Civil War”, and arranged for the proceeds to benefit Bushnell’s VFW Post 1422.
